|Great Performance & Great Price|
|This radio works great! Easy to setup using the USB cable and software. Manual setup is Ok. Good audio both on Xmit & Receive. Small- very compact and light. I bought this as a backup radio but will probably use it as my main HT instead.
The printed manual is not real good but at least it is entertaining. It is good enough to get the job done.
Great service my radio arrived in just two days!|
|Superb Audio on transmit & receive|
|This radio has fantastic audio on transmit and receive. It is somewhat difficult and tedious without the disc and the cable to program. Be careful and stay off the public service freqs unless you are authorized to be there. Otherwise, you will not find a better radio for the price unless you buy the Wouxun.|
|nice for the price|
|the only thing i can see wrong is the power button you have to push extra hard to make it work.
Other than that it programed easy with out a CD or without the cable for programing.
came with a dual band antenna
very light weight.
|The performance has been excellent, letting me hit repeaters (while inside a vehicle) over 25 miles away and hold a reliable qso. Seems lighter than the UHF-only PX2R and of similar quality. Only wish it had channel naming capability and DTMF.|
|I wasn't looking for a "big three" radio, but a low cost alternative HT. I am very pleased with the Baofeng UV-3R radio. Programming was a snap and the included dual band antenna was a plus. This radio certainly fills a niche and I am glad I bought it.|
|GREAT little HT|
|This is a great little ht to keep with you and not a big bulky radio on your side or pocket. It works very good and like the others state is very easy to program. To have a small radio only about the size of a credit card is great it is about as thick as a deck of cards. Repairs for this is great also for $60.00 and you will have a brand new radio (I can live with that) THIS is a MUST have little HT. You will have a good time with it I know I have so far. 73's W4JFD|
|Big performer in a little package|
|This little radio is unbelievable especially when you consider it's size and price. It's easy to program and somehow the short Rubber Duckie puts out a great signal. I can sit in my easy chait and hit a repeater about 15 miles away almost full quieting. So easy to carry. I highly recommend it to all.|
|Great Little Radio|
|Awesome radio for the price. So nice for Ham Swaps, stick it in your shirt pocket. I bought one and a week later I bought another. My wife had to have it so I had to buy a second one. |
|Great value. Great reseller|
|I have not only been happ with the radio, but also the response from the reseller. Ed is excellent to work with!
|Great little radio!|
|I ordered two of these, and had to order more. Everyone wants one after they see it! It is tiny, has great audio, and extremely good at pulling out weak signals. My wife carries hers in her purse, and mine fits in my day planner. These were so inexpensive I bought one for each car.|
|Great radio for the price|
|What a bargain! I got my radio in Oct 2011 and it appears to be version 3 with 19 Menu selections and 1500mAH battery. Volume problem seems fixed and it included the external battery charger. Dealing with Wouxun.us is great and they provide extemely fast and courteous service.
|Baofeng UV-3R-extremely good value!|

| I was exremely surprised as how small and light it was! "Manual" programming in the field takes a bit of time, but is easy once you "learn" the radio! Setting the volume is a bit tricky at first, then no problem. Very good performance for such a small, and light unit. I take mine and a spare battery practically everywhere with me. Sandy W5TVW
|You have to buy this radio! UV-3R|
|Are you kidding me? A functioning radio with all these features for this price! I sold my Yaesu VX-3R bought two of these radios and put a bunch of cash in my pocket! This is a great radio for the price. Easy to program with the software, batteries are almost free and it works fantastic! HELLO!|
|Great little rig|
|I have one of the first models. And I also have what everyone is calling the "Mark2". I have been a fan of the little radios for a long time. I passed up buying a Wouxon for the first Baofeng. And to be honest I don't regret it for one second. When you think about it three more watts does not make that big of a difference. |
|Fantastic HT! The price only makes it better...|
|I've had my UV-3R Dual Display for about a month and a half, it's a great little HT. Receiver does very well in semi-rural environment, TX plenty strong enough for repeaters within abt 25 miles. Manual programming is quirky at first, but easy to remember. It's VASTLY superior to my VX-3R, which had QC issues, and it cost 1/3 as much! Good customer service here just makes everything better...|

|Greetings fellow radio users and Amateur operators, what can I say about this little wonder. I just got my hands on the UV-3R and for the money, it just can't be beat. It now covers a half a dozen different radio freq's that I listen to and use, not to mention the cost of the radios that would be needed to cover them. Let's see...2meter-440cm-FM Radio-Police-Fire-Taxi-Weather-Emergence Traffic-Family Radio- and so on. The programming is a snap with the USB cable and the software, and doing it off the computer is a snap also. Don't pass up the chance to see this little powerhouse in action, 2 watts will do more than you think it will, I have no qualms about the UV-3R other then the lack of the DTMF keypad and am looking forward to getting an extra one.(Do the BIG 3 know about this sweet little HT?)
N8VBW...We are QRT and listening.|
